Children’s Swimming Lessons in the Swimming Pool are taught on a 6-8 Week basis. The lessons take place once a week for the 6 or 8 weeks.

The times are usually 4 or 5pm depending on the pool accessibility. For Example current lessons are run as follows: - Mondays 4 pm and 5pm, Tuesdays 4pm, Wednesdays 4pm, Thursdays 5pm, Fridays 4pm and Saturdays at 4pm. This would be fairly typical throughout the School Year. We do not run lessons through the Summer Months. During the Summer Months we run Summer Swim Weeks and Cool Kids Camps and further info. can be obtained on these weeks by clicking here to view our swim week page.

Whereas we endeavour to keep Swimming Instructor continuity throughout the Swimming Courses there are, on occasions times, when the instructors will vary.

The Children’s Lessons are run on a group basis. In each group there are 10 children of equal ability. On the first lesson the children are tested and then put into the group most suitable to their current swimming standard. It is important that the children are given every opportunity to practice in the pool from lesson to lesson. This we find is a great help when getting them to retain the information on the various strokes. On the final day of the course the children are given a swimming test to assess their progress during the course and are presented with a "Certificate of Swimming Ability" on departure.

The standards vary from: 1) Shallow Pool Lessons, 2) Main Pool Beginner Lessons, 3) Main Pool Older Beginners, 4) Improver Lessons and 5) Advanced Lessons. Each child moves up along the pool as their swimming ability improves.

It is important to remember that every child is an individual and cannot be compared to anyone else. The child's safety comes above all else. We teach the children in a SAFE, FRIENDLY AND ENCOURAGING MANNER.

How Do I Enrol My Child for Lessons???

It's Simple......................... We take children from the AGE OF FIVE upwards for lessons. Each Course runs for six / eight week’s duration.  Approximately one month prior to the commencement of each course we will hold a registration day.  Normally on a Monday from 7am in the morning.  On that day anyone interested in Swimming Lessons may enrol their name for the up-coming course and pay the Fee.  Enrolment can only be taken when fee is paid in full.  Generally speaking all the lessons fill on the enrolment day, so arriving early on the day is recommended, phone bookings can be taken from 11am with payment by credit/laser card.

The Reception Staff will be in a position to give you information on the next available course of Swimming Lessons and Enrolment day...please tel. us at 025-33272 now for any further information.
