We are delighted to say that once again the Fermoy Leisure Centre has been awarded the White Flag, we were previously recipients of this prestigious award in 2003.  The presentation ceremony took place on the 16th October, 2008 at the Strand Hotel, Limerick.  Included below in awards picture are Caroline Casey, manager of the Fermoy Leisure Centre, Pakie Bonner, and the President of ILAM.

The White Flag Award, which is now in its eighth year, is designed for sports halls, fitness studios, health suites, spas, gyms, and swimming pools and was developed by ILAM - Leading Leisure in Ireland for sports, fitness, aquatic facilities, outdoor, spas & wellness. 

Over 110 facilities applied for the White Flag Award in 2008 and leisure facilities in 23 counties were presented with the prestigious award. There are over 100 public sector and 500 private sector facilities throughout Ireland and yet only 17% will have attained a White Flag Award for 2008/2009.  The White Flag 'Quality' Award recognises high standards of excellence in health and leisure facilities and is endorsed by Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Hotels Federation.

All the hard work put into acquiring this Prestigious Award was well worth it.  This Award puts Fermoy right up there with all other Centres of Excellence in Leisure Facilities.   All our customers have delighted in this recognition of our fab. facility and we as a team are very proud of Fermoy Leisure Centre.
