Irish Water Safety P.A.W.S. Programme:-

The I.W.S. Primary Aquatics Water Safety programme is running in Fermoy Swimming Pool on an ongoing basis.  PAWS (Primary Aquatics Water Safety) was developed specifically for schools to incorporate all aspects of Aquatics on the Primary School Physical Education Curriculum. PAWS is a programme that enables teachers to certify their pupils with nationally recognised awards in waster safety both through the school and local swimming pool.  The main aim of PAWS is to significantly reduce the number of our young people lost to drowning each year by increasing our children’s awareness of water.  By booking Fermoy for your school swimming you can participate in this great programme too!

PAWS is the fastest growing Irish Water Safety Programme with over 1,000 certificates being issued to pupils nationwide in 2008.  Don’t be left behind – find out more on www.iws.ie or by calling 1890 420 202.  You can also contact Caroline Casey of  Fermoy Leisure Centre for further details 025-33272.

Do you want to become a Pool or Beach Life Guard?
